Our focus is our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA). CSA is a way to directly support a farmer and, in turn, receive a share of the year’s harvest. You invest early in the year and then we deliver fresh, high-quality produce throughout the season. We really enjoy the community we have with our members - we look forward to meeting new members each year and reconnecting with previous members.

We like to keep things interesting for our customers and ourselves.

We will have whole and 1/2 hogs available for purchase in the early fall. Pigs wil be around 250 lbs on butchering day. This equates to hanging weights of approximately 175lbs for whole hogs and 85 lbs for half.

The cost is $2.50/lb based on hanging weight, plus butchering/processing fees.
If you are interested, please contact us as soon as possible to reserve your whole or half. We want to be sure to raise enough pigs. Payment will be due in the fall.

We both grew up in Minneapolis, MN but spent many summers at Camp Widjiwagan in Northern Minnesota, leading wilderness trips for youth. After working together for five years, Pete finally asked Anna out, and we've been together ever since.

From leading trips and spending long weeks living in the wilderness, we both fell in love with working outdoors. For us, farming was a natural way to settle down and continue to spend our days outside. After graduating college, Anna interned at Foxtail Farm in Osceola, WI and Pete joined her the following summer at A to Z Produce and Bakery in Stockholm, WI. After interning there for a season, we rented an acre next door and started Waxwing Farm in 2011. In January 2012, we found our own 40 acre farm in Webster, MN.

We love to work hard, eat well, and share our passion with others. We don't use synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides in our farming. We do everything we can to be good stewards of our land. We love growing good food and having a close relationship with our customers!

http://www.waxwingfarm.com/content/13446

What we grow

We focus on growing staple vegetables.
